nas anton September 30, 2011 at 12:40 am: I have to admit I like a good revenge story–in fiction. In reality it is just sad and pathetic. I don't know why I like it in fiction, but fantasy is different from reality.

I have no idea why it's promoted in articles like this. About 9 out of 10 times it's solely women's revenge against men, although once in a while you'll see a story go the other way which gets featured like this. Usually people would consider that abusive and a good reason why she left him (not that I would disagree, to be honest).

I can only assume it goes back to the "men are evil and have wronged women for centuries" mentality and somehow it's good to see a woman get the upper hand.
